Many of Aspen's most honored cultural institutions were born from 1949's Goethe Bicentennial—the singular event responsible for Aspen's
rebirth as a city and destination.

the many organizations that have flourished in the rich cultural soil here - Aspen Writers' Foundation, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Theatre
